Finally some free time to take a little drive down High Street and visit Lucky’s Market on a Saturday afternoon. I was delighted when we walked in that Lucky’s had a great layout and was packed with shoppers. I had my list of what I needed for a recipe but part of the fun at a market like Lucky’s is trying something new!
Produce was fresh and I loved how the goods are labeled with the information on the origin. Lots of local farms and business are represented with the whole #ShopLocal trend. We went through the produce, down the frozen aisle and rounded the corner into beverages and then landed at what I shall call Coffee Island. Man it smelled soooo good. Settled on trying coffee beans from Argentina. Next I had my eyes set on the butcher counter. I was excited to see chorizo, juicy steaks and Lucky’s own bacon. One of my favorite things to try at restaurants when it’s on the menu is chorizo. I decided to take some chorizo home and make one of my favorite meals…chorizo and eggs. Steaks, chorizo and bacon all made it into the cart! After the butcher counter, the wine and beer areas were anxiously waiting right behind me when I turned around. We all know I wasn’t leaving a specialty market without a new wine to try
Lucky’s was very easy to navigate and the staff was very helpful. I will definitely go back and my chorizo and eggs were delicious!
